How to schedule your free local pickup
1. Confirm your car and title are ready

You’ll need the Ohio title in your name; if there are co-owners, have their information handy too. The car doesn’t need to run. 2. Schedule your pickup by phone or online

3. Choose a convenient pickup day and time window
Our towing partner will contact you to set up a pickup window based on your neighborhood’s traffic and parking realities. In tighter spots like Tremont, Detroit–Shoreway, or Coventry, we may suggest times with lighter on-street congestion. For outlying areas like Lorain County, Portage County, or rural Geauga, we often group nearby pickups on the same day. You’ll get a clear time window and instructions, and you can ask questions about exactly where the truck should park.
4. Prepare the car for the tow truck’s arrival

After your donated vehicle is processed and sold, we’ll send you an official donation acknowledgement and IRS-compliant tax receipt by mail. If your vehicle’s value exceeds $500, we’ll provide the information needed for IRS Form 1098-C. Your donation supports Heritage for the Blind’s programs for people who are blind or visually impaired.
